Flippa was broken in at the start of 2011, given a spell and returned to work to commence serious training in late 2011. She has blown us away with her trainability and willingness to learn. She works into a nice contact, and has a relaxed and swinging back which is a delight to sit on. She is sensible and quiet without being dull. As a young horses, I would hesitate to call her bombproof, but the reality is, she very nearly is! At her second competition, the winds were quite strong, the arena and letters were blowing over as she did her test, and the competition area was surrounded by flapping bunting and vibrating metal signs. She didn't bat an eye, and proceeded to do a fabulous test, and score second place with a score well into the 60's- at only her second competition! She is not a horse to shy, or become tense, and she does not need to be ridden every day or be lunged before being ridden (even at shows!).
She has good movement, and has scored 8's for her paces in competition. Her trot is going to become even more special as she continues to develop strength under saddle. She shows an exciting abilty to collect, which gives one the impression that she will be comfortable with the more advanced work as it is presented to her.
With her fantastic bloodlines, she is also an exciting broodmare/ ET donor prospect.
Flippa is a horse to seriously consider if you want something that is fun to train, has the potential to advance rapidly and be very, very competitive in the dressage arena.
